Acelot, Inc. has a full/part-time opportunity for a skilled software engineer and application developer to work as part of a small development team. This individual will assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of chemical informatics software applications. 

Using open source, third-party, and proprietary software components, the engineer will work with product management and testers to develop high-quality, integrated applications. This opportunity offers excellent learning and growth potential for the right candidate. 

Required Qualifications: 

* Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science or engineering 
* Object-oriented software development experience 
* Java development, GUI development 

Desired Qualifications: 

* Significant practical experience in a product development environment with defined release cycles and procedures 
* Familiarity with agile software development methodology 

General requirements: 
* Good communication skills 
* Self-motivated with ability to work independently
* Ability to work in the US
