Vanessa Rivas joined Acelot in May 2026 as Chief of Staff with nearly 20 years of experience supporting C-level executives, senior leadership, and board members in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Prior to joining Acelot, Vanessa served as Senior Executive Assistant to the CCO & Global Head of Marketing at 10x Genomics and as Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO at Freenome. She previously spent over 16 years at Nektar Therapeutics, most recently as Senior Executive Assistant to the President & CEO. In that role, she managed all activity for the CEO and Executive Committee, supported the Board of Directors, and led the company’s Administrative Forum. She also supported the Chief Scientific Officer and senior leaders in HR, Investor Relations, and Corporate Affairs.

Vanessa holds a BA in Humanities & Communication from California State University, Monterey Bay.
